CS5381 Overview
The CS5381 is a complete audio A/D converter (ADC) for digital audio systems. It performs sampling, A/D conversion and anti-alias filtering, generating 24-bit values for both left and right inputs in serial form at sample rates up to 200 kHz per channel. The CS5381 uses a fifth-order, multi-bit Delta Sigma modulator followed by digital filtering and decimation, which removes the need for an external anti-alias filter. The A/D converter uses a differential architecture, which provides excellent noise rejection. The CS5381 is ideal for audio systems requiring wide dynamic range, negligible distortion and low noise such as digital mixing consoles, multitrack recording systems, effects processors and audio/video receivers.

CS5381 A/D Converter Evaluation Board (CDB5381)
The CDB5381 evaluation board provides a quick, complete means of evaluating the CS5381 24-bit stereo A/D converter, needing only an analog signal source and power supplies. An onboard CS8406 transmitter generates S/PDIF and EIAJ-340 audio via RCA and optical connectors.
CS5381 A/D Converter Reference Design (CRD5381)
The CRD5381 pairs the Cirrus Logic CS5381 A/D converter with the CS8421 asynchronous sample rate converter to create a jitter-immune analog-to-digital conversion platform, with four-channel TDM or dual stereo output.
